The Space That Allows Transformation

One perspective that has gradually emerged through my own exploration is that consciousness may be more fundamental than we usually recognize — not separate from the body, but woven through the way we experience ourselves.

From that perspective, even what we call the ego does not necessarily have to be treated as something separate from consciousness or something to overcome. It can also be understood as one of the ways our inner world organizes itself in response to experience.

What touches me in this conversation is witnessing that organization begin to shift.

As different perspectives are welcomed into the dialogue, something starts to move naturally.

Nothing is forced.

Nothing is argued with.

What changes seems to come from allowing what was already present to be seen more fully.

Rather than trying to change the ego or convince it of a new story, this conversation explores what can happen when it is met exactly where it is.

As new awareness becomes available, the inner dynamics begin to relate to one another differently. A protector starts to recognize what it has actually been protecting. A vulnerable part becomes visible. A role that once seemed necessary begins to change.

What moves me most is the intelligence within that process — the way something can reorganize when there is enough space for a broader awareness to emerge.

Whether you experience these conversations literally or symbolically, perhaps they can invite curiosity about the intelligence already present within your own inner world.

Edith: Why don’t you want to be neutralized?

Energy 1: We’re too shy. We don’t want to be noticed.

Edith: Thank you for sharing.

(Ongoing organization… Waiting…)

Edith: Where are you now?

Energy 1: We’re not sure where we are. We feel empty. Will we still be something if we are neutralized? What are we going to become? We’re worried.

Edith: You’ll return to your original source, to the original space where you can be your true self.

Energy 1: Does that mean we’re going to lose our facade?

Edith: You’ll become the greatest version of yourself.

Energy 1: But we want to keep the facade.

Edith: How come?

Energy 1: Because then we can control what comes from the outside.

Edith: And you’re doing a great job at it.

Energy 1: That’s what we’re here for.

Edith: I totally understand. There’s a reason why you’re here, and you’re very protective of what’s inside you.

Energy 1: We weren’t aware of that. (They’re losing a bit of resistance.) We thought we were protecting ourselves from outside circumstances, but now that we realize we were actually protecting something inside ourselves, it gives us a different perspective.

Edith: What does this new perspective create for you?

Energy 1: The charge is gone. We thought we had to protect ourselves, but that’s no longer the case. We feel freer and lighter.

Edith: Wonderful.

Edith: Superconscious, has everything been said?

SC: No.

Edith: Superconscious, is a question required?

SC: No.

Edith: Superconscious, am I the one continuing the conversation?

SC: No.

Edith: Superconscious, is Energy 1 continuing the conversation?

SC: Yes.

Energy 1: If we’re here to protect what’s inside us, what are we protecting?

Energy 2: Me.

Energy 1: Who are you?

Energy 2: I’m a small energy that needs to be protected because I can’t do it on my own. I’m too small. I don’t feel capable of living on my own. I don’t feel at ease being who I am. I can’t find a way to be who I am.

Energy 1: And that’s why we’re here to protect you. We’re okay with being here for you.

Energy 2: Thank you for being here for me. I feel like it’s complicated to be with myself. It feels as if something avoids me whenever I choose to be with myself.

Edith: Thank you for your honesty. It’s really helpful.

Energy 1: Where do we fit into all of this now?

Edith: You’re still part of it, but at the same time, aren’t you becoming aware of something?

Energy 1: Yes. Does the vulnerable part still need us to protect her from outside circumstances? We feel like the challenge is more between her and the avoidance that lives within her.

Edith: You’re right. By sharing your own realization out loud, she became aware that the challenge wasn’t outside of her, but within her. And that’s why you’re questioning your role. Thank you for being so attentive.

Energy 1: We’re okay now that things are clear for us. We’re okay with being who we are without the role of protector.

Edith: You’re still protectors, but you’re no longer operating under the influence of past memories. You’ve become aware of a new reality, and because of that, you’ve reorganized yourselves accordingly. Thank you for bringing your inner intelligence into the equation.

Energy 1: We were made this way because, once we became aware of what was really present, we knew that our role was changing.

Edith: Thank you for being part of this experience.

Edith: Superconscious, shall we continue the conversation with the vulnerable energy?

SC: No.

Edith: Superconscious, shall we communicate with the energy that is avoiding the vulnerable energy?

SC: No.

Edith: Superconscious, shall we continue with MAP?

SC: Yes.

Continuation with the MAP procedures.
